    Great overall product!

Durable, easy to lay down. Glad the product (now) comes with screws. The product description should contain BOTH the length AND width; not just 24".

Attic Dek - clever product, worth every penny!

Posted by NC DIY Guy on Aug 27th 2020

I was really pleased with how Attic Dek flooring worked reclaiming storage space in my 1990's truss-beam attic. My easiest DIY project ever. The secret to happiness is before you buy, measure the space between your joists in several locations around your attic. If you have consistent standard 24 inch spacing, these panels work just fine. If you have a really old house and the joist spacing "varies", this product WONT work for you. (You cannot cut the interlocking plastic panels to fit - it will weaken them) The panels are very thick waterproof plastic and can flex slightly when walked on 24 inch centers, but are surprisingly strong. (Use caution installing over ceiling electrical boxes, the center of the panel might flex enough to contact a tall box. Make sure not to pinch any electric wires) Installation is just drop in place, align with next panel and drive screws, much faster and easier (and lighter) than plywood. The small panels are easy to carry up thought the attic hatch and I was able to cover about one half of the attic in an afternoon without buying an electric saw or hiring extra help. Get extra driver bits for you cordless drill - lots of screws are included to secure the panels. Need to run a wire or make structural changes? The panels remove just as easy without damage. You can see through the panel grids and trace pipes, ducts and wires easily. Insulation "breathes" better too. When all done, I'll have about 400 extra square feet of dry storage at home, so my monthly bill at U-Store-It drops to zero and the Attic Dek Panels will pay for themselves in less than a year. Yes, the product and shipping are expensive, but I'm only doing this once, (in 90 degree heat) and Attic Dek made a difficult project fast and easy.

    Fantastic Product!

I was just about to pull the trigger and order plywood to finish my garage attic flooring, but made the wise choice last minute to change over to these tiles. Super fast delivery, ridiculously easy installation, and work very well. Plus, I am a little cautious of the weight I am putting on the joists, so lighter weight of the panels vs heavy 3/4' plywood is another nice bonus.

    Great product, easy to install

Pros: very easy to setup and screw down. Worked over cords and lines up really well with my 24'' layout in my attic. Packed well and came quickly with the screws. Was a bit cheaper than buying on any of the big box sites. CONS: A few screws broke off, make sure you drive them in slowly. I only put in 4 on many of the decks to conserve screws. Shipping was expensive, would have opted for a cheaper slower delivery.

My husband has been putting these up in our attic which he’s stepped through the ceiling two or three times. These are sturdy and we feel safe putting boxes and totes up in our attic now.

Wonderful Solution to Safe Attic Access

Posted by Sheila on Feb 9th 2020

We use our garage attic for storage, but without flooring it was very unsafe. After seeing these used in a EvanandKatelyn video on Utube, we decided to try 3 boxes. They went in very quickly this weekend. We were so pleased to have a safe walkway and storage, that we are ordering more so we can finish the project next weekend.

    The Plastic solution you need!

Posted by Alan on Jan 15th 2020

I have installed these on three houses for work/storage spaces, and they make attic work/storage area creation a breeze. If you are just looking to stagger them for creating a walkway to A/C units, or attic spaces, these beat measuring, cutting, and installing flimsy pressed wood/plywood panels in 1/10th the time. We keep several 16" and 24" panels in our vehicles when we go into attic spaces for cable management work/insulation jobs/HVAC inspections. We know the capacity of these panels, we have no idea what some yahoo installed in their attic space going "that should do it".
